He is placed on antibiotics, Vitamin C and analgesics. He is responding
well but complains of pain at the incision site.

Patient is an orphan. This patient is the last born of twelve children.

Patient is a fisherman. He earns about N 30.00 (< $0.25 USD) daily and
takes care of himself.

Patient is a Christian. He worships with Christ Army Church.
Medical History:
Patient was unable to have hernia surgery due to lack of finances. Patient
has suffered with this hernia for the last 10 years (1995). Lack of financial
resources prevented surgery for this patient.
Post-Op
Patient is otherwise healthy and presents no pre- or post-surgery complications.
He is placed on antibiotics and analgesics. He is responding well with no
post-op or other complaints.

Family History:
Patient is the sixth child. His mother is alive but his father is deceased..
Family Support:
Patient is a speedboat operator but has been unable to work or generate any
income since July 2005. He has been taken care of by his uncle since this
began.
Religion:
Patient is a born again Christian. He worships with Sabbath Day Church of
God and has been baptized.
Medical History:
When to pains and symptoms became unbearable he consulted his uncle for assistance
to medical attention. The Doctors on Mission Teams arrival was concurrent
with the discussions and he resulted in being accepted as a surgery candidate.
Post-Op
Patient is otherwise healthy and presents no pre- or post-surgery complications.
He is placed on antibiotics and analgesics. He is responding well. The patient
complains of pain at the site and the lower right quadrant of his abdomen.
His post op progress will be followed.
